Message from the Artist

The Art of Scottish Golf series was warmly welcomed when it was introduced and three paintings have now been added to the collection.

The first is Kingsbarns, which has proved so popular with visiting golfers and the second is an enlarged view of the 8th, the Postage Stamp, at Royal Troon. In each of these paintings my task was to capture the magnificent setting seen from the tee by the player who, in a matter of moments faces the prospect of the hole claiming another victim.

The third painting is an illuminated map of the Old Course at St Andrews Links, which combines images recalling the past with those of today. The map is informative with the old course card details and topographical features incorporated in the design.
